CEO November 2025 Reflections

CEO thoughts and reflections

This is the time of year when we tally totals and begin documenting what we've accomplished over the year. As I reflect on all that we've accomplished as an organization and within the broader IFEL community, I must say that I am incredibly proud of the impact we’ve made together. Each milestone achieved represents not just progress, but also the collective belief that our vision of a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem, in which more people thrive, is possible. This is why we work so hard to achieve it.

Despite the progress, we see small business owners, entrepreneurs, and founders struggling even more to secure capital in an environment where the organizations designed to support them are struggling as well. IFEL is not immune, so we hope you will consider donating to IFEL as part of your year-end giving.

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the heritage, culture, and contributions of Native American people to the history of our country. Here is an article we came across with 8+ Ways to Celebrate Native American Heritage Day on 11/28.

In November, we also celebrate Veterans Day (Nov 11), World Kindness Day (Nov 13), and Small Business Saturday (Nov 29)...and of course, there is Thanksgiving.

Across the holidays, recognitions, and celebrations that you choose to observe, I hope you will be intentional about expressing gratitude for your blessings and receiving gratitude for the difference you are making in the world.

We are grateful for you. Thank you for the many ways you make your family, your community, and the world a better place.
