Despite the pandemic and increasingly strict public health guidelines, a local hub for Black-owned businesses is looking to Black Friday as an opportunity.
A group of Black entrepreneurs is gearing up for the fourth annual "Shop Black Friday" event. It will run the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, and will be located at Florin Marketplace, at 2251 Florin Road in Sacramento. Florin Marketplace is the same location that hosts the bimonthly African Market Place and is home to 60 Black-owned businesses.
