The Power of Showing Up as Capital Circles Comes to New Orleans

At our recent Capital Circles Community Showcase in New Orleans, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and supporters gathered for an evening of easy conversation, light bites, and real connection, celebrating the collective wins across the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The night put our belief into practice: Community IS Capital. We activated the Kiva campaign of local founder Alana Scott of Kinkz Hair Products, who was introduced to the NOLA Capital Circles community by GNO Inc., showing how a room full of people who care can move a founder closer to her goals.

Alana’s Kinkz Hair Products helps people embrace their natural textured hair with confidence. With demand growing, she’s raising $15,000 on Kiva to order more inventory to expand her reach and client base.
Capital Circles is a program of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL) designed to bring together investors, champions, ecosystem builders, and advocates who are committed to expanding access to capital and opportunities for more entrepreneurs. Through intentional relationship-building and shared learning, Capital Circles works to strengthen relationship connectivity, mobilize resources, and drive access by leveraging the power of community-based collaboration.
If others in your network should be involved in this important work, invite them to join the circle. If there are entrepreneurs in your network who need support, invite them to apply for support.
Thank you to everyone who showed up in New Orleans. We can’t wait to see what this community builds next.
